Panic and emergency hardware covers a range of devices installed on escape doors to enable rapid evacuation of a building. Typically in the UK, panic and emergency devices are fitted to final exit doors but they can also be used on internal doors. These doors are normally securely locked to prevent unauthorised entrance into a building but people within a building must always be able to exit quickly and easily in the event of an emergency.
