Circularity – our approach to long-term value creation

There is no doubt that humanity is using Earth's natural resources faster than they can be replenished. What then shall we do? A circular business model may be the future, according to ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions.

Today, 57 million tons of electronic waste are produced annually due to the high rate of consumption of IT hardware. Meanwhile, the electricity used by data centers accounts for about 2% of the global total and is projected to increase sixfold by 2030. Resource depletion will worsen if proper measures are not taken.

“With a circular business model and a recurring revenue stream, we address sustainability in several ways,” says Stephanie Ordan, VP and Head of Global Solutions. “We focus on circularity in our material product and solution, eliminating waste and decarbonizing operation. It helps the triple bottom line for people planet and profits.”
