Strawberry adopts room key in Apple Wallet through ASSA ABLOY and Zaplox

Hotel guests can now use their iPhone or Apple Watch as a digital key to unlock rooms and access other areas like the gym, pool, and spa.

What makes this partnership stand out is the seamless integration of products and solutions: using their security technologies, Zaplox incorporated Strawberry's guest app with ASSA ABLOY's Cloud tech and VingCard locks. This enabled mobile key access to any room within the hotel grounds.

Another notable feature of this integration is the privacy aspect. The room key in Apple Wallet is backed by VingCard door locks and Vostio Access Management by ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions. This means a guest’s key usage details are not shared with Apple. If the guest misplaces their device, they can locate it using the Find My app function.
