Perfect access management at Allianz Arena

With over three million visitors a year, the stadium needed an access system that could handle high volumes quickly and securely. SKIDATA’s NFC eTicketing platform enables fans to use their iPhone or Apple Watch near a reader for fast, contactless entry, eliminating the need to search through wallets or mobile apps.

The solution integrates seamlessly with the stadium’s existing systems. Operators can issue secure digital tickets directly from their internal tools, while still supporting classic paper tickets and other formats. Real-time data and operational control are available through mobile SKIDATA Monitoring & Control, which helps staff stay on top of access flows during peak times.

To improve crowd management, SKIDATA also implemented internal block separation, controlling access to defined zones with a maximum of 1,500 visitors per block. This AMC (Area Maximum Check) feature helps Allianz Arena maximize capacity while maintaining safety for its visitors.

The system also supports multiple tenants, giving each organization, whether FC Bayern Munich, the German Football Association (DFB), or the stadium’s operator MSG, its own tailored access rules. 

The same platform powers access to the FC Bayern Museum and guided stadium tours, which attract over half a million guests each year.
