ASSA ABLOY appoints President of the Asia Pacific division and member of the Executive Team

Jonas Persson has been appointed President of ASSA ABLOY Asia Pacific division and member of the ASSA ABLOY Executive Management Team. Start date remains to be confirmed.

 

Jonas comes from the position as Group Managing Director of the Swedish company Scan Coin. Before that he has spent several years with Nolato and Alfa Laval in various leading positions covering all aspects of the business from sourcing and manufacturing to the commercial side. During his time with Nolato he among other things spent four years in Beijing, China, to build up the business there to significant size.

 

Jonas succeeds Martin Brandt who will take up a position outside of the ASSA ABLOY Group.

 

The Asia Pacific division manufactures and sells mechanical and electromechanical locks, security doors and fittings in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. In 2008 the sales was MSEK 3 321 and the number of employees 7 100.
