ASSA Modular 9787 high security hook bolt
The Modular Scandinavian Mortice High-Security Hook Bolt Lock is part of our most popular modular lockcase range — trusted in the market for over 30 years for its reliability, strength, and adaptability. Designed for heavy-duty use in high-traffic environments, it has been rigorously cycle tested to 2.3 million operations, far exceeding the EN 12209 standard requirement of 200,000 cycles. This exceptional durability ensures outstanding whole-life value and dependable performance year after year. Built for secure access control, the lock supports cylinder master keying, allowing for a controlled keying hierarchy across multiple access points. Should keys be lost or stolen, the cylinder can be easily replaced, minimising downtime and cost. A heavy sprung follower enables the use of unsprung door furniture while maintaining consistent performance even under frequent use. The lockcase offers flexibility with key, turn, or handle arrangements, and the key can be removed in both the locked and unlocked positions. Installers can choose between a radius faceplate for CNC-machined doors or a square faceplate for on-site fitting, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The hook bolt mechanism delivers an added level of security, particularly effective against separation forces such as those caused by sliding or swinging door movement. The guided 21mm bolt is constructed from 3-piece hardened steel laminate, maximising strength and resistance to attack. The bolt can be operated with a 90° turn for quick engagement or a 360° turn for maximum high-security locking.
