The electric strikes in the EX118R model series are designed for explosion protection. They comply with the European product protection guideline ATEX 2014/34/EU (ATmosphères EXplosibles), bear the EX logo and are approved for designated ATEX protection zones. They meet the requirements for ignition protection through intrinsic safety in accordance with EN 60079-11. RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU is met.
