The original - electric strikes by effeff
From the brand to the product name: Why we understand electric strikes from the effeff
It's like Tempo or Tesa - many do not speak of the strike, but the effeff. Since its founding in 1936, effeff has developed and established itself as the market leader in the field of electrik strikes.
After launching the strike production in 1947, a comprehensive product program was developed step by step, which today offers tailor-made system solutions for the door, down to the last detail. For many customer requirements, we develop special solutions in our own test lab - that also has a long tradition with us.

Intelligent technical features and universality turn the strikes into high-quality all-rounders.
Standard electric strikes
With an electric strike, a door can be electrically locked and unlocked simply by pressing a button - without having to go to the door yourself.
Smoke control and fire doors
Smoke control doors and fire doors are subject to particularly high demands that are met by our electric strikes.
High security strikes
Security strikes have been developed as electrical locking for use under high preload and for supplementary locking systems on doors in escape routes.
Special applications
effeff strikes are also available for special requirements such as supplementary locking, ATEX areas or full-glass doors.

ProFix combines latch guide and FaFix adjustment on the electric strike
Glossary
The most important terms explained briefly and simply: from A for armature contact to X for x-dimension.
Certified sustainability. Low energy consumption.
All effeff electric strikes are backed by an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) – providing verified data on environmental impact across the entire product life cycle. This supports sustainable building certification systems like LEED, BREEAM, and DGNB.
effeff electric strikes are also energy-efficient by design – especially the fail-locked (energize-to-open) models, which only consume power for a short moment during unlocking. Unlike magnetic locks or motorized systems, these strikes do not require continuous current, making them highly efficient in day-to-day operation.
For applications using fail-unlocked strikes (e.g. escape routes), continuous current is required – but even here, effeff models are optimized for low consumption and thermal stability.
