ProFix combines latch guide and FaFix adjustment on the electric strike
The problem: elaborate milling/no adjustment possibility
Strike plates with latch guide have the problem that the profile for the latch opening area must be milled out.
The keeper is fixed, a subsequent adjustment or other setting is therefore not possible. This not only gives an unclean frame image; the door can rattle or be set too tight.
The solution: ProFix - Evolution of FaFix
The solution: ProFix - Evolution of FaFix
The latch guide is no longer on the strike plate, but integrated in the strike. This makes it possible to offer the proven FaFix adjustment options even in case of latch guidance.
The solution is also visually appealing on metal doors: the striking plate is not visible when the door is closed. In addition to the visual advantage, the frame is no longer interrupted in the area of the seal, the mill-out required without ProFix is no longer necessary: the door sealing surface remains continuous.
Determine the x-dimension
How to find the right ProFix opener for your profile? Well, that depends on the x-dimension:
The choice between ProFix® 1 and ProFix® 2 depends on the door / frame design. A decisive factor is the so-called "x-dimension". The x-dimension indicates the distance between the jamb of the frame and latch or keeper
Flush- fitting doors
x-dimension higher than/equal to 9.4 mm = ProFix1 or ProFix2
Applications with HZF and LAP strike plates can always be replaced by the ProFix system.
Rebated doors / aluminium and plastic doors
x-dimension from 4 mm = ProFix2
x-dimension smaller than 4 mm = ProFix not replaceable
All radius strikes are ProFix compatible: 118, 332 and 143
Advantages:
- closed door seal = for increased heat and sound insulation
- visually appealing = the strike plate is invisible when the door is closed
- no milling required = faster production time, less material stress
- subsequent adjustment possible = for easy installation and satisfied users
- ProFix®-strikes are available for all applications: standard, smoke control and escape doors
- sustainability = ProFix offers high product quality, environmentally friendly thermal protection and proof with Environmental Product Declaration

Smart alternatives for striking plates
In wooden doors: the slim angled striking plate
The small dimension on the front side is shorte-ned in slim angled striking plates to ensure that the door rebate covers the striking plate when the door is closed.
In metal doors: the offset strike plate
Especially for aluminium doors, the offset strike plate offers a particularly stable, unified design as an alternative to the U-strike plate. Installation is carried out without end caps, and the profile edge is protected.
