Challenge
The Lättere residential complex in Zollikofen was built on the site of a former clay mine and comprises 124 exclusive and high-quality rental and ownership apartments. In terms of design, the exciting mix of apartments ranges from studios to large family-friendly 4 ½ and 5 ½ room apartments, which with spacious loggias and terraces, are perfect for spending time and enjoying the beautiful view. The combination of a quiet residential area located on a western slope on the one hand and a very well-connected infrastructure on the other makes the Lättere residential area equally attractive for different demands and life situations.

Great demands wer placed on the security equipment by construction planning . In addition to robust, state-of-the-art burglary protection and accessibility, ease of use for all different user groups also played a major role. Due to the different apartment layouts with or without an integrated studio, the locking technology used also had to be as flexibleas possible. In the event of future adjustments, such as the sale of individual residential units, the locking system should be decouplable and individually changeable at any time.

Solution
The responsible planners decided to work with ASSA ABLOY due to the extensive and tailored product portfolio. The latest generation of the KESO 8000 Ω² mechanical locking system was provided for the required level of burglary protection and flexibility. It comprised almost 410 installation components and locking cylinders as well as five keys per apartment. The locking system guarantees outstanding security and a high degree of flexibility, as it can be expanded and extended at any time.

CASA Alpha mortise locks and Tribloc multi-point locking systems from MSL were used in the interior of the residential complexes, on the apartment doors and main entrances as well as on the connecting doors from the adjustment hall to the residential complex.

For barrier-free access throughout the area, the Planet HS drop-down seal was also installed in all relevant areas, which impresses above all with its optimum sealing and sound insulation as well as silent triggering and easy installation for wooden, metal and PVC doors.
