Biometric access control via facial recognition: iDFace & iDFace Max

iDFace and iDFace Max are multifunctional access solutions that combine different identification methods in one device: facial recognition, transponder card, QR code, and PIN. The key advantage of facial recognition is speed and contactless access. Individuals can be identified in fractions of a second without having to show their smartphone or a card.

iDFace: compact facial recognition terminal for professional access control

iDFace is a compact entry-level solution for biometric access control. The device recognizes up to 10,000 faces with live facial recognition and also supports other identification methods such as transponder card, PIN, and QR code. Thanks to its IP65 class of protection, iDFace is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Whether directly on the device via the 3.5-inch touchscreen or via the integrated software: access rules based on groups and schedules can be easily configured without additional software installation.

iDFace Max: multifunctional facial recognition terminal for high-traffic requirements

iDFace Max is the high-performance option for locations with particularly high traffic or increased security requirements. The biometric access control device manages up to 100,000 faces with live facial recognition and reliably identifies individuals with and without masks in real time.

The 7-inch touchscreen display provides clearer navigation and improved usability in daily operation. In addition, iDFace Max supports the OSDP protocol, enabling seamless integration into existing security infrastructures.

Where are biometric access control terminals used?

Where are biometric access control terminals used?

The iDFace and iDFace Max facial scanners can be used wherever access control needs to function efficiently, hygienically, and reliably. Typical application scenarios include:

  • Entrance areas and reception: building access in office and administrative buildings without card contact or manual verification
  • Back office and service areas in hotels: fast, contactless identification of employees
  • Production halls and storage areas: access control in zones with increased hygiene standards or glove requirement
  • Server rooms and security areas: access to sensitive infrastructure areas with biometric security, also in combination with two-factor authentication, biometrics and RFID cards, or PIN
  • Healthcare facilities: hygienic access in hospitals, medical practices, and care facilities
  • Educational institutions: access control for schools, universities, and colleges with a large group of users
  • Public administration and authorities: documented, traceable access to official areas
