Aperio, CLIQ, Incedo, Code Handle, and SMARTair are battery-powered products. Compared to traditional, hard-wired access control products, our wireless access control solutions utilize minimal grid energy and can improve a building’s energy performance or ENERGY STAR® score. In addition, Incedo Business utilizes wireless hardware, such as Aperio or PULSE. The battery-powered access control solutions from Aperio use minimal energy and only wake-up and use energy when presenting a credential. They also require less energy during the installation phase as no cabling around the door is needed. These devices can be easily switched to other doors in case of movement. Energy harvesting solutions, such as the key-based ASSA ABLOY PULSE electronic locking system, generate the needed energy by inserting and turning the key.
