New 484 Mortice touch bar blends security with safety

Available in a modern new style, the mortice lock of the TB484 requires keyed access, while the touch bar allows for escape. This ensures the building remains secure but can be easily evacuated in the event of a fire or other emergency.

The new TB484 extends the aluminium touch bar offering to give solutions for double doors as well as single doors.  The mortice solution is ideal to install with the TB485 CVR for a fully compliant double doorset with suited hardware on both leaves. 

As final exit doors are often access doors where entry into buildings needs to be controlled, the new product has been tested with our 7400 Series electric strikes thus giving scope to integrate with access control.  This offers additional peace of mind that access into a building is controlled without compromising safety of those authorised to be in the building.

The TB484 has been extensive tested to EN 1125 with both mechanical and electric strikes to gain CE and UKCA marks and Made in Britain-accreditation.  As a touch bar, it helps satisfy requirements of BS 8300 to give access to all and our commitment to quality is underscored by a 10-year warranty.

The TB484 range comes with two touch bar widths (900 or 1200mm) that can be cut to size on site, offers solutions for multiple door thicknesses and lock backsets, and retrofits with the 940 universal mortice exit device, which it replaces.
