Kadex™ – one system for connected care
Built to scale, designed around people, roles, and workflows.
Designed to fit into your care ecosystem
We designed Kadex to support evolving care models, growing organizations, and long-term digital strategies.
Kadex brings order to complexity by connecting what already exists into one scalable care infrastructure – so staff can focus on people, not platforms.
- Connects nurse call, alarms, location, access, and room functions.
- Reduces complexity without replacing existing platforms.
- Enables safe freedom through indoor and outdoor living zones.
- Supports location-based workflows and event-driven care.
- Scales easily from single sites to multi-site care organizations.
How does Kadex™ work?
Using open and well-defined APIs, Kadex operates as a middleware beneath your organization’s own management or administrative “top layer.”
It integrates with electronic health records, fire and emergency systems, resource planning tools, and other well-known platforms, while managing sensory alarms, manual controls, location-based services, and access control at infrastructure level.by a designated operator.
What Kadex™ enables in daily care
- Staff safety and resident security
- Real-time location tracking for residents and staff
- Wander management
- Integrated access control
- In-bed and out-of-bed detection
- Inactivity monitoring
- Fall detection and prevention
Location services and data insights
Kadex uses real-time location services (RTLS) to support safer, more flexible care environments, both indoors and outdoors.
Indoors and outdoors
The transitions between indoor and outdoor areas are seamless, with GPS automatically switching off indoors to preserve battery life.
Indoors, location can be combined with access control and door functions to enable automatic, role-based workflows. Doors unlock when and where needed, with different day and night settings supporting calm, secure environments.
Outdoors, Kadex supports freedom zones or living circles that allow residents to move safely within defined areas. When a zone is left, Kadex triggers an event or notification, enabling proactive support without restricting freedom.
From data to insight that supports care
Meaningful insights
Kadex captures location, alarm, and event data s structured information directly within the care environment. This provides a clear view of daily routines, movements, and interactions, helping care teams and organizations understand what is happening and recognize changes early.
Because Kadex is designed as a middleware and workflow layer, data is not locked inside the system. It can be accessed and combined with other data sources to support safer care, better planning, and more efficient use of staff and shared resources.
