We are currently recruiting Apprentices for our head office in Portobello, Willenhall (WV13 3PW), home to a large manufacturing facility and key business support functions. As a global leader in access solutions, we provide Apprenticeship opportunities in the following areas:
Engineering – Support improvements to assembly and primary processes, assist with automation initiatives, and apply engineering principles such as Flow, TAKT and Value Analysis to reduce operational costs.
Quality – Play a key role in enhancing products, processes, and systems with a focus on reducing the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and defective parts.
Procurement – Develop commercial skills by supporting supplier negotiations to secure cost‑effective, high‑quality materials that support product performance and profitability.
Marketing – Contribute to strengthening the ASSA ABLOY brand across digital and social channels, enhancing awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
Sales – Build the foundation for a future career in sales by developing key business acumen skills and supporting the continued growth of product sales.
Business Development – Support initiatives that drive strategic growth and new business opportunities.
Customer Services – Manage customer orders and enquiries, ensuring a professional, efficient, and solution‑focused service that reflects our commitment to excellence.
As an apprentice, you will:

During your apprenticeship, you will be expected to:
- Attend relevant training or college sessions to meet academic requirements
- Manage and prioritise your own daily workload
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
We are looking for individuals who:
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in their chosen field
- Are enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
- Hold equivalent GCSE Grades 9–4 in Maths and English
- Are self‑motivated with strong organisational skills
- Have a logical, methodical approach to problem‑solving
- Show excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Can work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
