EUDI Wallet Researcher Intern

EUDI Wallet Researcher - Intern

Are you passionate about digital identity ecosystems and cutting-edge access control technologies? Are you eager to explore how emerging EU standards like the EUDI Wallet can revolutionize secure interactions? Join us in shaping the future of verifiable credential management within a globally recognized innovator in access solutions!

What would you do as a EUDI Wallet Researcher - Intern?

Join our Electronic Access Control team in DAS EMEIA, where you will contribute to strategic research on the EU Digital Identity framework and its integration with ASSA ABLOY’s Electronic Access Control (EAC) systems. This role is pivotal to understanding how trusted credentials and proximity-based mechanisms can enhance our solutions in alignment with EU regulations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Research & Prototyping: Investigate the EUDI Wallet ecosystem, including trust frameworks, credential issuance models, and proximity-based interactions (e.g., NFC/BLE). Develop lightweight prototypes for Android/iOS apps using existing EUDI Wallet demo implementations.
  • Proof-of-Concept Development: Collaborate with engineers to prototype ASSA ABLOY’s role as a Trusted Issuer within the EUDI framework, including compliance with standards like eIDAS 2.0.
  • Technical Evaluation: Analyze how proximity-based credential transfer (e.g., smartphone-to-reader) could integrate with ASSA ABLOY’s EAC systems. Test feasibility, security, and usability of these mechanisms.
  • Documentation & Strategy: Synthesize findings into clear reports and contribute actionable recommendations for aligning our products with EUDI standards.
