To help you better navigate changing rules, we developed ASSA ABLOY PASS (people access, safety & security). The COVID EU certificate and ID validation scanner can immediately check whether the documents provided are genuine and stored in the EU database and whether the ID provided for the person concerned matches the certificate. The scanner decodes the information contained in the QR code. It offers clear acoustic and visual feedback on whether the holder’s COVID certificate presented is valid and genuine. The reader checks whether the controlled person has been vaccinated against COVID-19 or has tested negative. The scanner also has a built-in OCR reader used to identify passports or any ICAO 9303 identification document.

The optional relay board also allows system integration & active interaction with existing door systems. The system reliably detects fraud with certificates as it enables an immediate cross-match between the provided COVID certificate and the ID document.
