Panic exit devices

The UNI EN 1125 standard certifies that mechanical panic devices operated via a horizontal bar are suitable for emergency exits and escape routes. Both type A ("Push") and type B ("Touch") panic bars can belong to this category of devices.

The UNI EN 179 standard certifies that mechanical emergency devices operated by a lever handle or a push pad are suitable for emergency exits in contexts where a panic situation is unlikely to occur.
