Highest security thanks to best-in-class key copy protection with the new KESO 8000Ω³ locking system

With the new KESO 8000Ω³ locking system, ASSA ABLOY (Schweiz) AG is setting another milestone in the high-security sector. The mechanical system combines the advantages of its successful predecessor series and offers again a long investment protection with patent protection until 2044. Thanks to an innovative combination of proven protection mechanisms, unauthorised key copying is made significantly more difficult, even with the most advanced technologies.
New, highest level copy protection
The special feature of the new KESO 8000Ω³ is the further development of key copy protection technology. While the KESO 8000 Omega was already equipped with active copy protection, the KESO 8000Ω² expanded this with additional moving elements that are scanned in the cylinder. The new model series combines these two protection mechanisms for the first time. Only authorised original keys open the cylinder. The combination of the two active copy protection technologies in the key ensures a very high level of security.
Reliability, convenience and efficient operations
The new locking system also impresses with maximum functionality and tangible convenience in daily use. It is robust, durable and designed for universal use. The process-optimised design of the KESO 8000Ω³ ensures efficient processes and is therefore recommended as a reliable solution for both residential buildings and complex locking systems in hospitals, universities, companies or public institutions.
Certified security and flexible integration
Like all KESO systems, the new KESO 8000Ω³ also meets the strict standards and features different products families certified according to EN 1303 WD C and D, VdS A, VdS B and VdS BZ(+). Additional carbide inserts and hardened pins provide effective protection against drilling, pulling and breaking. The modular system makes it possible to adapt cylinders flexibly and individually to different requirements. The continuation of the insert technology offers increased readiness for delivery and modular protection levels for optimal security. The system can also be seamlessly combined with KESO Integra so that mechanical components can be connected to electronic ones.
Future-proof investment
With the new KESO 8000Ω³, ASSA ABLOY (Schweiz) AG is continuing the success story of the KESO locking technology by presenting a locking system that combines maximum security with the state-of-the-art technology. The KESO 8000Ω² currently available offers effective patent protection until at least 2034 and is still available for expansions and retrofits. Starting in March 2026, KESO 8000Ω³ will be supplied automatically for new masterkey systems delivered from factory so that users can benefit from its longer patent protection.
