Software Architect .Net (m/f/d)

Software Architect .Net (m/f/d)

SKIDATA is a global leader in access solutions for sports, entertainment, and mobility, combining long-term reliability with cutting-edge innovation through the hybrid integration of hardware and software across IoT, cloud, and mobility technologies, delivered via multi-cultural engineering collaboration between Austria and global teams—and we are now looking for a passionate Software Architect .Net to join our team in Bangalore and help shape the future of intelligent access systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Own End-to-End Architecture: Lead and own application and system architecture for .NET and Angular platforms, designing cloud-native, microservices-based and RESTful solutions with high availability, resilience, and fault tolerance.
  • Drive Cloud & Platform Strategy: Define strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, cost optimization, and cloud governance, including identity and access management using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Azure AD.
  • Lead & Mentor Teams: Act as the technical decision authority for architecture matters, define standards and best practices (SOLID, clean architecture), conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor developers, senior engineers, and tech leads.
  • Shape Solution Design: Convert complex business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions, selecting appropriate architecture patterns such as Microservices, Modular Monolith, or SOA, and govern non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, and observability.
  • Oversee Delivery & Operations: Manage the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensure CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment strategies, and monitoring are in place, and troubleshoot complex production issues.
  • Communicate & Document: Create and maintain architecture diagrams, solution designs, and technical documentation, and communicate effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, and distributed global teams.

In this role, you will be at the heart of transforming and modernizing enterprise platforms, making a measurable impact on our products’ evolution. You’ll thrive in an inspiring, collaborative environment that actively encourages your professional growth—where your ideas are valued and you have the opportunity to influence next-generation software solutions at scale.

What You Bring

  • BE / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 10–15 years of overall software development experience, with a minimum of 4+ years in an Architect or Technical Lead role
  • Strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET 8/9/10, ASP.NET Web API, and Angular
  • Deep knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and enterprise design patterns
  • Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, and familiarity with caching (Redis) and messaging systems (RabbitMQ / Kafka)
  • Proficiency in CI/CD, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes, with solid API security knowledge
  • Proven track record in modernizing legacy systems and leading large-scale enterprise platforms
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices
  • Experience working with global or distributed teams is a plus
