Custom Order Representative

We seek an outgoing individual to professionally manage a group of customer accounts with an emphasis on building long term relationships and growing our revenue in our custom solutions vertical. This position requires you to meet our customers, discover their needs, work with our in-house engineers to create custom solutions, and ultimately drive revenue. You will be responsible for all account activities including quote creation, order/payment processing, shipping, invoicing, and more. You’ll need to be good at handling several computer systems on multiple screens to perform your tasks.

Our customer interactions require extreme attention to detail, over communication, impeccable organizational skills, the ability to think in 3D, and effective prioritization. This role must build relationships with individuals through email/chat/phone conversations over a long sales cycle, learn everything about our products including how they are utilized in the field, and work collaboratively with different departments. As part of a small team, a successful employee will bring the positive attitude, reliability, and skills to make a big impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary and nurturing relationships with customers to understand their needs and business goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and establish an account plan for each customer.
  • Identify opportunities to grow business by educating existing clients for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs to grow revenue year over year.
  • Conduct regular outbound calls and email outreach to maintain client engagement.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored product presentations, proposals, and quotes.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Operations) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Process customer quotes, work orders, shipping docs, invoices, and rarely “returns”
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Business Central/Dynamics 365

Qualifications:

  • Work Experience: 5+ years (Preferred), physical security industry experience is a plus
  • Account Management Experience: 3+ years (Preferred)
  • Business Central/Dynamics 365: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Show self-motivation and positive thinking for others to follow
  • Organize yourself—with the ability to emphasize time related to revenue growth
  • Be punctual and reliable in your attendance
  • Work well in a team environment serving other departments and various customers
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be a self-starter with good time management skills
