Shipping Lead
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a detail-oriented shipper with experience in sorting and preparing shipments, skilled in scanning technologies. Also committed to error-free order fulfillment and contributing to a positive team. This will be a 1st shift position.
What you will be doing:
- Maintain clean, safe, organized material storage areas.
- Provide leadership by example for all employees.
- Coach and train employees in policy and procedure regarding safety, quality and productivity in that order of importance.
- Plan and assign daily tasks geared toward meeting daily schedule and departmental goals to area employees.
- (Inventory Management) Control scrap logs in thrive and improve yearly inventory accuracy.
- (Part Identification) All items are to be identified with correct part number or DNI.
- Actively participate in process improvement projects geared toward cost savings in labor and materials.
- Organize and plan for loading situations and make requests for additional manpower.
- Review performance and attendance of line employees and Document performance and disciplinary actions.
The skills and experience you need:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Shipping experience preferred.
- Warehouse management system experience preferred. (WMS)
- Forklift experience.
Other:
- Strong documentation skills, reporting skills and computer skills.
- The ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.
- Ability to be a contributing and collaborative team member.
This role is located in Tulsa, OK.
