Project Manager

Join our ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions team in Sweden, with Mölnlycke as the primary location, or Eskilstuna as an alternative. This is a fixed‑term, one‑year position as a maternity leave substitute, and we look forward to welcoming you to our team soon.


What You Would Do as Our Project Manager
You would lead projects within the R&D and Innovation scope, following the Product Innovation Process from the approved Business Case through to Time-to-Market delivery. In addition, you would contribute to the operational development and continuous improvement of our Product Innovation Process within our IMS leadership system, where process charts define inputs, activities, outputs, documentation, and related links. You would report directly to the Process and Project Office Manager.


You would also:

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality projects within the approved budget and fixed timelines.
  • Take full responsibility for project activities, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful delivery and launch.
  • Manage R&D innovation projects in accordance with our Project Governance Model.
  • Report to project Steering Groups, Gateway Forums, and EMEIA‑level approval bodies.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including Product Management, R&D, Procurement, Quality, Operations, and other key partners.

The Skills and Experience You Need
We are looking for someone who has:

    • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
    • Extensive experience in project management, including familiarity with methodologies such as Waterfall.
    • Strong experience in process management, with the ability to understand end‑to‑end processes at both overall and detailed levels.
    • Strong leadership skills, with excellent communication and coaching abilities, combined with a strong drive to deliver projects effectively.
    • Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Ideally, experience with mechanical products and mechanical development.
