Extend your access capabilities with new CLIQ® Readers and Updaters
The trusted CLIQ digital key system just got even more versatile. Organizations around the world already rely on CLIQ for secure, convenient access management, and now the new CLIQ Readers and Updater make it easier than ever to extend access management both indoors and outdoors – including to third-party devices.
Compatible with both eCLIQ and PROTEC2 CLIQ solutions, these new devices simplify secure unlocking and key updates. CLIQ Readers require just a key insertion for access confirmation, reducing wear and tear, while the CLIQ Updater uses intuitive LEDs to keep keyholders informed about updates and battery status.

Fast, flexible access management
The CLIQ Indoor Reader works seamlessly with CLIQ Web Manager, CLIQ Local Manager, CLIQ Go, and the full range of CLIQ keys. Customizable setup options allow switch delays from 1–10 seconds, activation on key insertion or removal, and even an optional remote relay unit for added security. From electric strikes to motorized doors, revolving doors, sliding glass doors, and lift priority, CLIQ Readers put flexible access management within easy reach.
The CLIQ Outdoor Reader offers the same functionality in a durable stainless-steel housing, with certified protection against water, dust (IP65), and vandalism (IK09). It’s perfect for gates, turnstiles, and other external barriers.
Secure key updates, outside the building
The CLIQ Updater provides a fast, secure way to update keys outdoors without a network cable. Connected via RS485 to an existing CLIQ Wall PD, Generation 2 (up to 200 metres away), all security-critical elements remain inside the building. When linked to a Wall PD with a free output switch function (FO1), the Updater can also control third-party devices such as electric strikes.
For maximum convenience, both Readers and Updaters are available in flush or surface-mounted configurations. Outdoor models also come as e-modules for integration with steles, tableaus, and intercom systems, including ASSA ABLOY’s DoorBird solution.
