As our Senior Software Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Participating in a Scaled Agile development environment, including design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and performance tuning of production systems
  • Contributing to architectural discussions and technical direction within the team
  • Participating in troubleshooting, task identification, effort estimation, and planning of development and maintenance work
  • Ensuring and demonstrating high code quality through comprehensive and effective unit test coverage
  • Providing technical guidance through mentoring and day-to-day collaboration

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

           

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent (master’s degree preferred). Equivalent practical experience will also be considered
  • Strong understanding of software development in several of the following areas (roughly in priority order):

-Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Python, Angular, microservice architecture,    SaaS deployment, advanced SQL

  • 3–6 years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with Docker and deployment of systems in cloud environments
  • Experience building or operating SaaS products on AWS or a comparable cloud platform
  • Good understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and related tooling
  • Familiarity with Angular; UX knowledge and experience are a plus but not required
  • Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals, design patterns, and software engineering best practices
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and principles is an advantage
