Trade Sales Manager (London & South)

What you would do as our Trade Sales Manager – London & South

As our Trade Sales Manager, you will sit within the DBS UK & I team, reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, and be one of two regional roles across GB focused on driving profitable growth. Working closely with Contract Area Sales Managers and Estimators, you will take ownership of developing sales through specialist subcontractors and new and repeat trade customers in a proactive, customer‑facing and commercially driven role.

This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to shape a brand‑new function within DBS UK & I, expand market presence, strengthen customer engagement, and make a visible impact on commercial performance, with strong potential for career development.

 

You would also:

• Achieve or exceed order intake and revenue targets by delivering excellent customer service and competitive technical and commercial solutions.

• Proactively identify, secure, and develop new trade customers and opportunities across multiple industry sectors.

• Build and manage a strong pipeline of supply‑only opportunities through structured outbound activity and effective CRM management.

• Prepare, negotiate, and convert accurate quotations into orders, working closely with commercial and technical teams to ensure compliant and profitable solutions.

• Develop long‑term relationships with trade customers, subcontractors, and distributors, supported by strong product knowledge and market awareness.

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience in either trade sales, estimating, or account management within manufacturing, ideally doors or construction products..

• Has strong understanding of door systems, materials (timber, composite, steel, aluminium), hardware, and relevant building standards.

• Has the to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documents.

• Has experience preparing accurate quotations, cost breakdowns, and bills of materials.
