The Position

 

Based in Bangholme, Vic, for this role as Welder / Fabricator is to complete all work assigned to you by a nominated Production Manager/Leading Hands within reasonable timeframes and to a high standard of quality using the established standard manufacturing procedures and safe operating procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the manufacturing and assembly of roller shutters or other door types as per detail sheets and supervisor direction.
  2. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  3. Loading and/or unloading of vehicles and/or trucks.
  4. Carrying and/or moving goods.
  5. Welding up frames and guides for counterweight doors
  6. General assembly of roller shutters
  7. Use hand held tools such as chisels, saws or hammers.
  8. Operate powered hand held tools such as drills, routers, sanders or grinders.
  9. Operate or assist in the operation of other powered workshop machinery.
  10. Perform basic daily and weekly maintenance on the workshop machinery.
  11. Clean and maintain Work areas.
  12. Train lesser experienced staff in standard manufacturing procedures.
  13. Maintain quality control by following established QC procedures.

 

Skills & Experience:

 

The ideal candidate will be proactive and self driven.

 

  • A minimum of 2 years’ strong sales experience
  • Experience in manufacturing and fabrication highly regarded
