Mabel González Castellanos

“This role is a combination of software engineer and data scientist. I work around all the components of an artificial intelligence system including: researching, designing, building and maintaining it,” Mabel explains. Previously, Mabel worked at our HID division as a Data Scientist, a great match to her education of PhD in Time Series Classification. 

Throughout her journey with us, Mabel has encountered knowledgeable and supportive mentors, “I have had the opportunity of working with exceptionally good managers. I need to mention Johan Eliasson, Kapil Sachdeva, my current manager Henrik Öhrlund, and currently as my mentor, Gustav Ryd” Mabel says.

In her free time, Mabel practices a lot of different activities, “I love to dance salsa, I am Cuban after all. As a hobby, I like to spend time building dollhouses. I enjoy also consuming material in Swedish such as books or films. This makes me feel more connected with my Swedish life,” she says.

We asked her what she thinks is something unique to ASSA ABLOY: “Without any doubt, the culture, and the people. I feel fortunate to be part of the ASSA ABLOY family,” Mabel says.
