Product Marketing Manager

Job Summary

The Senior Product Marketing Manager position is responsible for complete management of the Kwikset Security Series portfolio from creation of new products through their removal from the product line.  The individual is the owner of the portfolio performance and has a strong voice to influence all commercial activities related to their products. Decisions made on product roadmapping, manufacturing specifications, marketing strategies, sales commercialization, and promotional opportunities backed by extensive research, data and analysis are expected by this individual.

 

 

  • (60%) - New Product Development (NPI)
    • Supports cross-functional team (engineering, sourcing, supply chain, finance) through multiple on-going product development projects at various stages of development via milestone process.
    • Develops and executes strategic product road development. Understanding of market, channel and/or customer dynamics, product design, trends, and end –user preferences and purchase drivers. 
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities, product adjacencies, customers and markets.
    • Development of NPI scope documents (preliminary financials, KPIs, timeline management, etc.)
    • Supplier and factory trips as needed
    • Present and interact with senior level internal and external customers
    • Participate in annual strategic planning process.

 

  •  (20%) - Talent Development
    • Supervises 1 employee including, developing, providing feedback on performance, and maximizing team effectiveness. 
    • Actively participates in Performance Management, Individual Development Plan creation and Goal Planning as part of preparing the employee for advancement and leadership within the organization.

 

  • (10%) - Portfolio Maintenance
    • Supports brand guidelines to ensure consistency, with specific influence on packaging, and collateral related to assigned projects.
    • Work with quality and brand to support installation workshops, videos, and related initiatives.
    • Responsible for the sales and gross margin performance of portfolio, includes setting price targets, P&L performance, asset management etc.
    • Owns product life cycle including but not limited to set-up documentation and SKU rationalization.

 

  • (10%) – Business Processes
    • Support the management of the on-line databases to ensure proper content (internal as well as customer websites)
    • Manage product documentation process including mix management, product life cycle. Generate reports, tools as required.
    • Create impactful initiatives to drive the business

                               

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience / MBA preferred
  • Minimum seven years’ experience within consumer electronic product management

Work Environment:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Hybrid work schedule; Monday and Friday work from home and Tuesday through Wednesday in-office at our Lake Forest office.

 

Pay Range: $140,800 to $195,000.

 

This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location. ASSA ABLOY conducts regular review of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
