Go Backend Cloud Native Engineer - Full Remote

We have a fantastic opportunity available in ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions Iberica for a Go Backend Cloud Native Engineer in our Hospitality division and in Char.

 

Part of Global Solutions, Global Solutions provides complete access solutions to specific industry verticals, such as hotels and hotel chains.

 

Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…

 

As a Go Backend Cloud Native Engineer for the Hospitality Global solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to work as team member within the R&D department and reporting the results to the R&D Team.

 

Reporting directly to the Chief Technical Officer, you will be responsible and work mainly on Cloud native applications and transformation process.

  

What you will do…

 

  • Design and execute the transition from a modular monolith architecture to a cloud-native microservices architecture.

 

  • Define the strategy for decomposing the monolith into independent services.

 

  • Design communication patterns between services (event-driven, synchronous and asynchronous APIs).

 

  • Build the technical foundation of the new Go backend platform (services, standards, and shared structure).

 

  • Establish architectural standards for distributed systems (resilience, consistency, observability).

 

  • Implement the execution foundation on Kubernetes and continuous deployment practices.

 

  • Integrate messaging systems to decouple domains and enable asynchronous processing.

 

  • Define and introduce observability practices from the design stage (structured logs, metrics, distributed tracing).

 

  • Act as a technical reference for cloud-native architecture decisions within the backend team.

 

What we expect of you…

 

  • At least 2 years of experience in a cloud-native technical/development environment or demonstrable skills – we care about what you can do, not just your resume.

 

  • Previous experience in system integration projects (highly valued).

 

  • Backend development in Go for production cloud native systems.

 

  • Go performance tuning (profiling and optimization)

 

  • Design of microservices and APIs (REST/gRPC).

 

  • Knowledge of API security practices: Authentication, authorization, secure token handling (OAuth, JWT, MD5)

 

  • Distributed systems with messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ/NATS).

 

  • Containerization with Docker.

 

  • Deployment and operations of services in Kubernetes.

 

  • Production incident handling and debugging of distributed systems.

 

  • DevOps-oriented thinking.

  • Analytical thinking and strong attention to details.

 

  • High or upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English and Spanish.

 

  • Good skills to have remote meetings in English/Spanish.

 

  • You also have personal and professional skills.

 

  • You are ideally located in the Barcelona metropolitan area (or surroundings). Not excluding candidates from other regions in Spain.
