As our Quality Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Measuring, compiling, analyzing and reporting internal & external quality metrics
  • Product category interface with sales, engineering, and business for all emerging and systemic quality issues
  • Leading global triage and escalation of emerging issues to resolution in respective product category
  • Being a key part of the Issue Management Escalation Process, the triage step is essential to the cross-functional and timely review of critical issues and rapid containment of the associated quality spill
  • Driving cost of poor quality improvements in related product category
  • Comprehensive COPQ metrics including scrap, warranty and other related quality costs to be used as the basis for driving internal manufacturing process and product improvements. Focus is not solely on costs of failing products but other customer concerns as well.
  • Managing corrective action request (CAR’s) and preventive action request for external & internal product and process quality issues.
  • Preparing and presenting quality information to the executives, senior management, suppliers and customers as required; also prepare and provide regular reports and reviews as necessary
  • Ensuring execution of quality engineering reviews of new products for compliance with standard requirements
  • Developing, implementing and champion functional and global projects as assigned
  • Attending and actively participating in production quality reviews, NPI product reviews, and other quality related meetings as appropriate with a focus on opportunities for improvement related to statistical process control and quality processes such as audit, OQA, source inspection, reliability testing and incoming inspection

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

 

 

  • Must have at least 3 to 5 years quality experience, including management responsibilities
  • Understanding and proven work experience with quality, lean and waste elimination processes and tools ensuring continuous improvement
  • A solid understanding of quality system requirements and quality tools such as 8D, Cause & Effect Diagram (fishbone), control plans, SPC, FMEA and demonstrated analytical skills to use the data driven approach to solve customer quality issues
  • Good listening skills and ability to diplomatically deal with difficult customer, supplier and cross functional situations to achieve desired business results
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to make effective and independent business decisions
  • Good project management skills
  • Excellent communications skills in English and the ability to effectively communicate findings and actions
  • Ability to travel and field work including international travel
