Tools Administrator is Responsible for maintaining SonarQube, Bitbucket, Nexus, and ensuring performance monitoring and scaling. Owns and manages CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and pipeline templates.. Implements tool-to-tool integrations (e.g., Jira → Bitbucket → Jenkins → SonarQube). Operates Production, Staging, and Disaster Recovery (DR) instances, and manages backups, upgrades, and plugins

Roles & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Maintain and optimize DevOps tools such as SonarQube, Bitbucket, Nexus, and New Relic platforms, etc…..
  • Own and administer CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and pipeline templates.
  • Provide L2/L3 support and incident resolution
  • Implement and support tool-to-tool integrations (e.g., Jira → Bitbucket → Jenkins → SonarQube).
  • Monitor and scale performance across all managed platforms.
  • Operate and maintain the tools in Production, Staging, and DR environments.
  • Manage backups, upgrades, and plugin installations for all tools.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python/Bash.
  • Implement automation and integrations between tools.
  • Collaborate with Product, Security, DevOps, and QA leaders to define requirements and priorities.
  • Ensure access control, RBAC, and audit compliance
  • Ensure compliance with security and organizational standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Create documentation and user guidelines

 

Education and/or Experience         

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (master’s preferred).
  • 6 - 7 years of experience in DevOps, automation, or platform management roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Bitbucket, New Relic.
  • Scripting/automation skills (Groovy, Python, Bash preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Atlassian and CI/CD tools
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
