Intersec 2026: Secure Access for the Digital World

intersec 2026

Intersec 2026, one of the biggest security exhibitions of the Middle East region, was once again held this year at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 12-14 January. It brought together the region’s security and technology community, and for ASSA ABLOY, it was three days filled with meaningful conversations, innovation, and forward-looking collaborations.

The exhibition also gave us a platform to showcase our new branding at a key regional event for the first time. The refreshed look and feel of the branding attracted strong attention from visitors, who described it as modern, fresh, and engaging. The new brand identity helped create a welcoming space for conversations and reinforced ASSA ABLOY’s future-forward vision.

From the first day, interest was particularly strong in data center solutions, reflecting the growing regional demand for secure, scalable, and integrated infrastructure. Visitors showed keen interest in how end-to-end solutions can support complex and high-security environments. “With the acquisition of Kentix, a German designer and manufacturer of IoT monitoring and access control solutions, our physical protection portfolio has widened in scope,” says Kostis Telelis, SVP & Head of MEIA Region at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions. “We have a full solution portfolio for data centers, all available from a single supplier. Data center planners and operations teams have saved time and maximized security by partnering with ASSA ABLOY.”

Another prominent theme at Intersec 2026 showcase was a range of digital access solutions for multi-residential properties. Assa Abloy’s Ecliq solution is an advanced digital locking system which replaces traditional mechanical keys with secure, programmable, electronic battery-powered keys, cylinders and padlocks. Tenants and service staff benefit from programmable keys with flexible access rights and schedules. Electronic revocation eliminates costly cylinder changes, while optional key revalidation adds an extra layer of security. Intuitive software—available locally, online, or via smartphone—keeps site managers in complete control of access rights, openings, and user permissions anytime, anywhere.

Contemporary Ecliq devices integrate seamlessly with the Doorbird IP intercom system for building entrances and blend aesthetically with luxurious door and architectural hardware also available from Assa Abloy.

ASSA ABLOY also presented a broad range of other digital access solutions, including SMARTair, Aperio wireless locking devices, and many more connected systems designed for flexibility and scalability. Aperio drew attention for its ability to extend access control wirelessly and cost-effectively, while effeff electric strikes demonstrated reliable performance for secure door control in demanding applications. We also launched PRIMO for the first time at Intersec, our new intuitive access software that lets you manage all users, devices and credentials together in one convenient place.

Security-rated doors were another major point of engagement, offering visitors a tangible view of robust protection combined with modern design. In the residential section, a dedicated door display featuring Valli handles in a variety of finishes added a design-focused element to the stand, showing how aesthetics and security can work seamlessly together in contemporary living spaces.

Beyond the ASSA ABLOY stand, solutions were also featured at the booths of several OEM partners, highlighting seamless integration within a wider security ecosystem. This collaboration further reinforced ASSA ABLOY’s role as a trusted partner delivering connected and interoperable access solutions across multiple verticals.

Throughout the three days, discussions with OEMs, system integrators, and end users focused on adaptability, scalability, and the importance of integrated systems to meet evolving security requirements. The quality of engagement, combined with strong interest across key segments, made Intersec 2026 a very successful and rewarding experience.

With promising leads, excellent conversations, and positive feedback from visitors and partners alike, Intersec once again demonstrated its value as a key platform for strengthening ASSA ABLOY’s position in the Middle East and beyond.

A sincere thank you to everyone who visited, and everyone involved for their dedication and teamwork in delivering a successful and well-coordinated presence at Intersec 2026. Together, we continue to open doors to a safer, more connected future.
