Domina Milano has for many years been a key destination for those seeking high-quality accommodation for both business and leisure travel. It is part of the Preatoni Group, a company that has been offering luxury hotel and resort experiences around the world for over 30 years.

Located 15 minutes by train from the centre of Milan and just 3 km from Fiera Milano Rho, the hotel offers a range of services specifically tailored to trade fair attendees, such as a car park, a free shuttle bus to and from the exhibition centre, flexible booking options and dedicated rooms for pre-event meetings.

With 194 rooms, 5 meeting rooms, 4 boardrooms, a 24-hour fitness centre, a restaurant and a bar, Domina Milano needed a versatile and reliable access control and guest management solution. The system previously in use no longer met the requirements necessary to manage such a complex and multifunctional venue.

To provide an even smarter access service for loyal customers.
To have a flexible solution that would allow for the system to be expanded and guarantee reliable support over time.

Solution

Drawing on the expertise of the ASSA ABLOY Italia sales team, the management of Domina Milano has chosen the TESA Hotel digital access control system.

The TESA Hotel management software has been installed in the Wireless Online version, which enables real-time control of the entire system.

Guests are given a card at check-in containing access credentials for their room and for the communal areas to which their booking grants access, whilst for returning guests, virtual credentials are created, allowing them to gain direct access using their smartphone via the Openow^™ app. Staff are provided with both types of credentials.

The rooms have been fitted with i-max electronic escutcheons featuring an integrated reader and a privacy knob on the inside. DC175 door closers, featuring Cam-Motion^® technology and a discreet design, have been installed on the doors to ensure they always close properly and to guarantee guests’ safety.

A standard wall-mounted reader has been installed on the car park access barrier to allow guests and staff to gain access independently.

For the service areas and staff-only areas, both solutions were chosen, depending on the specific requirements of each room.
