Transit operator manages time and attendance with Incedo™ integration

The Bucharest Transport Company provides public transit for Romania’s capital city and the surrounding Ilfov County area. They operate a range of tram, bus and trolleybus services and occupy several depots and terminals.

The company sought an innovative, user-friendly technology solution to manage time and attendance for a staff of approximately 11,000 people. The solution needed to be reliable and easy to deploy to multiple Bucharest Transport Company locations.

Key requirements

  • Robust, secure ID credential readers which could be placed at convenient timekeeping points
  • Seamless integration with the company’s preferred time-and-attendance software solution
  • Hardware and components which would be fast and straightforward for their installer to fit
  • Potential to extend the scope of the system to other applications and/or locations in future

Solution

«The most difficult part was to find a reliable, integrated software and hardware solution that can monitor time and attendance for 11,000 employees in multiple locations», explains Dan Horhoianu.

The answer was an Incedo™ Business Plus management system with ASSA ABLOY R10 iCLASS readers.

Incedo’s easy-to-install controllers are managed by Incedo™ Business software. A fully documented API and technical support helped to streamline the process of integrating Incedo with the PrimeSourcing time-and-attendance software package.

The Incedo™ platform is designed to connect all kinds of business software and hardware within a single system. Incedo™ Business Plus is the ecosystem’s integration-ready management option: It facilitates integration with multiple third-party devices and services to help organizations do even more from a single interface.

It is also modular by design: Bucharest Transport Company can scale, in either direction, on demand.

Incedo™ is already deployed as an access control solution at multiple locations across Europe. From one interface, organizations manage readers alongside battery-powered Aperio wireless locks, ASSA ABLOY PULSE locks powered by energy-harvesting technology and more.

Bucharest Transport Company can easily choose to extend the security capability of its existing Incedo™ Business Plus system at a later date.
