PE560 - Controlled handle locks for double leaf emergency exits
The PE560 high-security electric locks are built for use on double-leaf emergency exit doors.
They are 1 locking point locks that are installed on the primary leaf. They are designed for installation on internal or external solid wooden doors and are used in combination with an access control system. They are recommended for doors subject to medium user traffic.
They are equipped with a symmetrical latch and an automatic re-arming deadbolt, which ensures that the lock is always locked in two points. A trigger is installed on the deadbolt that allows the primary door leaf to be unlocked immediately when the secondary door leaf (counter-lock) is activated.
These devices have an electrically controlled external handle: this means that the door cannot be opened from the outside simply by lowering the handle, but requires an electrical command from the inside or a key to open the cylinder. The locks are available in two versions:
- Version with normally locked handle: the external handle is unlocked when the electricity is on.
- Version with normally unlocked handle: the external handle is unlocked when the electricity is off.
On the inside, panic bar and cylinder always guarantee opening even in an emergency.
The symmetrical double-action latch allows use on right and left-hand doors. The locks are available with a 55 to 100 mm backset and have a flat forend.
