PE420 - Motorised locks for double leaf emergency exits
The PE420 high-security narrow stile motorised mortise locks are built for use on double-leaf emergency exit doors.
They are 1 locking point locks that are installed on the primary leaf. They are designed for installation on internal or external doors with aluminium profile. They work with access control systems or devices such as timers, keypads or buttons and can also be used on automatic doors.
They are equipped with a symmetrical latch and an automatic re-arming deadbolt, which always ensures that the lock is locked at two points. A trigger is installed on the deadbolt that allows the primary door leaf to be unlocked immediately when the secondary door leaf (counter-lock) is activated.
The door is unlocked automatically and does not require the handle to be operated. They are recommended for doors subject to high user traffic, specifically for public buildings.
They have a daytime mode (in which the lock remains unlocked at all times) and a night-time security mode (in which the lock locks automatically when the door is closed). Mechanical opening via a handle and cylinder on the inside is always possible, making this lock suitable for emergency exits.
They enable advanced monitoring functions and have security features such as back-up in the event of a power failure and anti-tampering.
The double-action symmetrical latch allows use on right and left-hand doors. They are available with a 30 to 45 mm backset and have a flat forend.
