EL461 - Controlled handle locks

The EL461 high-security mortise electric locks are designed for installation on internal doors with aluminium profile. They are used in combination with an access control system.

They are recommended for doors subject to medium user traffic.

They are equipped with a symmetrical latch and an automatic re-arming deadbolt, which ensures that the lock is always locked in two points.

These devices have an electrically controlled internal and external handles: this means that the door cannot be opened simply by lowering the handle, but requires an electrical command from the inside or a key to open the cylinder. The locks are available in two versions:

• Version with normally locked handle: the external handle is unlocked when the electricity is on.
• Version with normally unlocked handle: the external handle is unlocked when the electricity is off.

The symmetrical double-action latch allows use on right and left-hand doors. The locks are available with a 30 to 45 mm backset and have a flat forend.
