TECHNICAL PRODUCT SPECIALIST

Here at Norton Rixson, we have prepared a road map with innovation in mind, and we are positioned for strong growth.  To help bring these products to market and grow our installer base, we are seeking a Technical Product Trainer to join our Team.

 

The Technical Product Specialist position is an integral component of the Company’s commitment to quality that will support the company’s goal of 100% customer satisfaction and enhance the reputation of our product performance.  The individual must foster a positive partnership with both internal and external customers and facilitate resolution of customer questions and concerns in a prompt, professional manner.

 

The Technical Product Specialists’ Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provides technical support to end users on a variety of the Company’s products and services.
  • Promptly responds to telephone calls, chats, email and customer requests for technical support.
  • Investigate customer issues by working with manufacturing management to identify and resolve technical problems in a timely manner that exceeds customer satisfaction.
  • Document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Works closely with R&D and product development to take new product development to commercialization.
  • Investigate new applications or new product opportunities.
  • Provides field and hands-on solutions to product applications, installment and troubleshooting for a variety of products.
  • Supports the launch of new products.
  • Proactively works toward continuous product quality performance.

 

The Technical Product Specialist Position’s Education and Experience Requirements include:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a technical field. 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with customers on phone calls and technical support
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Rixson, Norton, Corbin Russwin and Sargent brand catalog products
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be very proficient using MS Office Suite.
  • Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, multi-tasked and a team player.
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills including the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve customer questions and issues.
  • Requires excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.  Also, experience building and maintaining external customer relationships.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Prefer strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical & electrical systems.

 

Must be legally eligible to work in the USWe E-Verify.
