Position: Data Privacy Analyst

Location: Chennai, India (Based in the HID office)

Role Overview: Join ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions as a Data Privacy Analyst and help shape our company’s privacy landscape. In this role, you will work with our Data Protection Officer to support our global privacy program, collaborating with teams to maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs) and conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for IT systems and business processes. You will also complete internal Data Processing Agreements, perform Legitimate Interest Assessments, manage TrustArc, and contribute to privacy projects. This role provides direct privacy experience in a complex international setting and the chance to support a privacy-focused culture.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the DPO to implement tasks supporting our global Privacy program
  • Maintain and manage Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs)
  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for IT systems and processes
  • Promote a privacy first culture, guiding the business to meet our Privacy program requirements

Skills

  • Solid GDPR and privacy expertise
  • Strong interest in IT, SaaS, AI and Cybersecurity
  • Firsthand experience applying privacy in business and tech settings
  • Skilled in collaborating to develop RoPAs
  • Proficient in PIAs and applying privacy principles (e.g. data minimization, storage limitation)
  • Familiar with TrustArc or similar tools for RoPAs and PIAs
  • Excellent communication across teams and countries
  • Integrity, resilience, and strong organizational/project management skills

Qualifications

  • 3 years of privacy experience with GDPR in a global company
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field OR IT combined with Data Privacy Laws
  • CIPP or similar privacy related certification is an advantage
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Legally eligible to work in India
