Regional Sales Manager - Southeast

Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business, and managing customer relationships within the assigned Southeast territory. This role focuses on expanding market share for Tell Manufacturing products across key distribution, modular, retail, and contract hardware channels. The RSM will collaborate closely with internal teams, independent representatives, and customers to meet or exceed sales objectives while delivering exceptional service and strategic market coverage. Territory will include:  Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve annual revenue and margin goals.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with existing customers and identify new opportunities for growth across all assigned states.
  • Support independent representatives with pricing programs, product training, and large project quotations.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits, virtual meetings, and presentations with distributors, contractors, and key accounts.
  • Identify market trends, competitive activities, and new product opportunities; communicate findings to sales management and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer service, logistics, and operations to ensure smooth order flow and customer satisfaction.
  • Track and report on sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics using CRM and internal reporting tools.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as needed.
  • Provide technical and application support for Tell Manufacturing products within the territory.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay informed on industry developments, tariffs, and pricing trends

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in building products, door hardware, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of regional markets in the Southeastern U.S.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and virtual meeting tools.
