ASSA ABLOY’s standard based Hi-O™ (Highly Intelligent Opening) connects electronic door components together over a controller area network (CAN). This allows them to communicate and monitor the health of the door opening. Intelligence is built into each device, instead of one centralized logic unit, creating a highly secure plug and play system. Each device is connected over a four-wire cable and has standard connectors, making installation quick and easy.
