Logic Cliq a hit at Ottawa International Airport
It’s easy to succeed with a great product, good customer relations and a competent installation partner.
Ever since Ottawa International Airport’s new terminal opened in October 2003, it has used locks from ASSA ABLOY’s Group company Medeco. And when Medeco launched Logic Cliq, the airport was quick to get on board.
“When I read about Logic Cliq I became curious,” says John Machado, manager Airport Security with The Ottawa International Airport Authority.
Among the features that caught Machado’s eye was the ability to perform an audit trail, the ease of programming a key’s access, and if a key is lost, the airport does not have to re-key every lock in the terminal.
“All you have to do is remove that particular key in the software system. It’s fast and easy,” Machado says.
The airport security benefits from the Logic Cliq system because of its quick programming feature and installation software. And for staff members, it means that instead of 20 keys, they only need one.
A great contribution to the overall success of the installation of Logic Cliq is Ronald C. Lister Locksmith who installed the products. Machado calls Lister and Medeco the “Dynamic Duo of Batman and Robin.”
“I can’t imagine not dealing with both of them when ordering my Medeco products,” he says. “And the contact with Medeco’s sales team has been incredible. They are very helpful and great listeners; very professional.”
“A positive surprise is the reaction I get when someone sees my Medeco electronic Cliq key. First they think it’s for a high-end vehicle. But when I explain, they start asking me questions about this product and when I explain all the benefits this product has, they are amazed and surprised at what it can do.”
