ASSA ABLOY Scholarship Program
The ASSA ABLOY Scholarship Program is designed gives employees the opportunity to work at a Group company other than their own for a defined period of time, to develop their professional knowledge and skills, as well as to create a deeper understanding of ASSA ABLOY.
The program offers employees the chance to work at another Group company for a defined period of time, providing opportunities to learn about the methods, procedures and products of another Group company to bring this knowledge back to their own workplace. This program is open to all employees who have been with ASSA ABLOY for 18 months or more.
“The program provides an excellent opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experience and network building across divisions and geographies which is becoming increasingly important for ASSA ABLOY,” says Krister Erikssson, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at ASSA ABLOY. “It also provides a stepping stone in the career development for those participating in the program.”
Aaron Buxton-Rella a systems administrator at ASSA ABLOY Australia Pty Limited participated in the scholarship program and spent two months at ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in Sweden.
“It was a wonderful experience and a great way of developing stronger working relationships and opening new channels of communication,” he says.
Irene Tan, an assistant marketing manager at ASSA ABLOY APAC had a similar experience in Australia: “My exchange was really a terrific experience. I really need to say thank you my boss Irene Yip, general manager of ASSA ABLOY Hong Kong, who nominated me for this fantastic program.
