With buildings generally accounting for around 40 percent of energy consumption in society, the focus on sustainability in the construction industry has increased over the past few years. We are committed to sustainable buildings and entrances, offering energy-efficient gates, high-quality materials and environmental product declarations.
ASSA ABLOY has a comprehensive range of automatic swing doors, sliding doors and revolving doors that help reduce costs and energy consumption in commercial buildings. Our doors offer the greatest value across three of the most important building segments – retail, healthcare and private commercial properties (such as offices and hotels).

Our long-term commitment to a sustainable future
To realize a sustainable future we focus on:
- Sustainability program to 2025
- Setting long-term science-based targets
- Halving our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030
- Achieving net-zero no later than 2050
Now in our third program, we have set our most ambitious targets yet keep playing our part tackling the global threat of climate change. For the first time, we have a long-term climate commitment to set targets with the Science Based Targets initiative.

We are committed to offering more sustainable door and security solutions. Through innovation, certification support and a global commitment, we are focused on reducing the environmental impact of buildings and construction solutions.
Globally sustainable
Sustainability is one of the driving forces in our value chain. By placing ASSA ABLOY in a broader context, the Group can better understand sustainability risks and opportunities in the business. Managing them in a good way helps us grow and stay profitable. ASSA ABLOY has defined four environmental sustainability priorities that support the Group's vision and strategy and provide the framework for the goals set for each division.
