ASSA ABLOY EPDs are independently verified and follow strict international standards (ISO 14025 and EN 15804), providing reliable and trusted environmental information on products.
As environmental reporting requirements continue to expand through initiatives such as Construction Product Regulation (CPR) and Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), transparent product information helps project teams prepare for both regulatory requirements and sustainability objectives.
Supporting Green Building Certifications
Environmental product data plays an important role in many leading green building certification schemes, including BREEAM, LEED, WELL and DGNB.

Regulation Readiness
Environmental performance data is becoming increasingly important in the construction industry. Key regulations from the European Commission that are driving EPDs to become mandatory include Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).
The CPR requires environmental data disclosure, starting with global warming potential (GWP). These requirements are aligned with the same EN 15804 standards used in EPDs, making EPDs a ready and practical solution for compliance. In parallel, the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) requires GWP disclosure for all new large buildings from 2028, and extending it to all new buildings as from 2030.
