APAC ERP Consultant Associate

Introduction              ASSA ABLOY is a global leader in access solutions. In APAC, we manufacture and sell mechanical and electromechanical locks, digital door locks, highsecurity doors, and fittings. We are undertaking one of the industry’s largest Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) programs—migrating from Dynamics AX 2012 to D365 F&O through a multiyear roadmap across multiple countries. Our ERP landscape integrates with Microsoft Fabric/BI, banking systems, eCommerce platforms, barcode/scan solutions, EDI, and other enterprise applications, serving ~3,000 users across the region.

As an APAC Business ERP Consultant (Finance), you will support the design, configuration, and rollout of D365 F&O with a primary focus on Finance processes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, internal IT, and external implementation partners to deliver solutions that are standardized, scalable, and wellintegrated across the APAC landscape.

 

 

Responsibility          The APAC Business ERP Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Gathering and translating business requirements into clear functional designs and solution proposals for D365 F&O Finance (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Bank, Fixed Assets), aligned to IT standards and controls.
  • Configuring D365 F&O Finance features under a defined solution blueprint. Executing SIT/UAT with test scripts provided or reviewed by senior team members; defects will be triaged together with the functional lead and vendor.
  • Guiding business users through design reviews, testing, training, deployment, and post–go‑live stabilization
  • For small enhancements or change requests, develop a clear mini‑project plan, track milestones, and report progress. A project manager or senior consultant will review scope, estimates, and provide regular checkpoints.
  • Coordinate with integration and data teams on migration/validation, integrations, reporting, and master data quality. Technical managers and data leads will provide standards, mappings, and review gates.
  • Deliver L2 (and some L3 with guidance) support for Finance, perform root‑cause analysis using established runbooks, and recommend improvements. Complex issues will be co‑handled with senior consultants and the vendor.
  • Support user training and prepare step‑by‑step guides using existing templates

Current Application landscape      Dynamics AX 2012 R3 & D365 FO with:

  • ERP Localisation packs
  • ERP 3rd party modules
  • 3rd party applications integrated to AX
  • DW/BI solution based on MS-SQL and Fabric
  • Output document management system
  • 3000 users
  • Integrations between divisional and global or local systems and e-Commerce, EDI, Logistic integration system.   
 

Requirements

  • Must have hands-on experience implementing Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations within an integrated IT environment for a multinational organization.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in ERP functional roles (Business/Functional Consultant or Business Analyst) with strong focus on Finance processes.
  • Solid understanding of Finance processes (GL, AP, AR, Banking, FA), controls, and basic tax/localization concepts in APAC.
  • Participation in at least one end‑to‑end ERP cycle (design, configuration, testing & deployment), including change management and documentation.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder management skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work across cultures and time zones; fluent in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with IT governance, project management basics (Agile/Waterfall), and the best practices of documentation.
  • Willingness to travel within APAC as required.
