ASSA ABLOY at Data Centre World with Security Solutions for Resilient Data Centres
On 6 and 7 May 2026, the data centre industry will meet in Frankfurt at Data Centre World. ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH will present innovative solutions for protecting critical IT and infrastructure environments in Hall 8, booth H135. The focus will be on holistic concepts for burglary protection, networked emergency exit technology and modern access control – complemented by solutions for digital key and asset management as well as physical environmental and perimeter security.
Data centres are among the most sensitive infrastructures of our time. ASSA ABLOY supports operators of critical infrastructures with perfectly coordinated mechanical and electromechanical solutions that cover all security zones – from the outer perimeter to individual server racks.
Burglar-Resistant Protection up to RC4
Regulatory requirements for data centres define high resistance classes and comprehensive monitoring functions for different protection areas. ASSA ABLOY offers security locks with extended monitoring options and extensive certifications that go beyond standard requirements.
In combination with burglar-resistant door systems, solutions up to resistance class RC4 can be implemented. Multi-point locking systems in this class provide effective protection against break-in attempts using power tools and thus significantly increase the physical resilience of sensitive infrastructures. Operators benefit from a high level of security without having to compromise on functionality or integration into higher-level security systems.
Secure Escape Routes and Intelligent Control
For personal protection in emergency and hazardous situations, ASSA ABLOY offers a comprehensive portfolio of escape route security solutions. ePED® technology enables compliant control of emergency exit doors in accordance with EltVTR and EN 13637, while also providing modern operating and display options.
In larger building complexes, central control panels provide additional transparency and efficiency. The effeff control panel 925 with touch display allows convenient display of door statuses and intuitive control of up to 24 emergency exit doors or group functions. Via the TS bus interface, the system can be seamlessly integrated into existing escape route technology and is also suitable for modernising existing installations.
Flexible Access Control with Aperio®
Aperio® technology enables efficient integration of a wide variety of access points into existing access control systems – such as SCALA net. Depending on requirements, communication can take place online via wireless technology or offline via data-on-card solutions.
The portfolio includes battery-operated cylinders, handles, fittings and complete locks. This creates a scalable security concept that enables seamless access control from the building envelope and technical and server rooms right down to individual racks.
Kentix: Physical Security & Monitoring for Data Centres
For the first time, Kentix will present itself as part of the ASSA ABLOY Group at Data Centre World. The company, which has been part of the group since 2025, specialises in intelligent solutions for physical security and environmental monitoring in data centres.
Kentix systems combine various sensor functions, including detection of temperature and humidity, early fire detection and unauthorised access. All functions are integrated into the KentixONE software. This provides operators with a comprehensive overview of all security-relevant environmental data. The solutions support operators in implementing NIS2 requirements for risk management, physical security and access control, and offer transparent monitoring and reporting functions. In this way, ASSA ABLOY strengthens its expertise in digital security solutions for highly critical IT infrastructures and offers operators a scalable, holistically integrable security ecosystem.
TRAKA: Key and Asset Management for Critical Infrastructures
Another key focus is on TRAKA solutions for intelligent management of keys and mobile devices in critical infrastructures. Electronic key cabinets and intelligent dispensing systems ensure complete documentation, automated allocation processes and full traceability – a decisive factor for compliance with NIS2 requirements.
With Key-on-Demand solutions, for example in combination with CLIQ or web-based platforms, access rights can be assigned flexibly and for limited periods of time. This allows operators to maintain full control over mechanical and electronic keys as well as security-critical devices at all times – even in highly dynamic operating environments.
During the trade fair days, experts from ASSA ABLOY, Kentix and TRAKA will be available for technical discussions and individual consultations. Visitors will gain practical insights into integrated security solutions that intelligently combine physical and digital protection measures and make data centres sustainably resilient.
