Achim Haberstock takes over as Chairman of the Management Board at ASSA ABLOY
After Stefan Fischbach recently announced his resignation, the company is now announcing his successor: Achim Haberstock officially took over responsibility for the Business Area Central Europe and Chairman of the Management Board at ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH as Senior Vice President on 1 July 2024.
Haberstock is no stranger to ASSA ABLOY. He joined the Group in 2015 and has since made a particularly valuable contribution to successfully establishing the business in Eastern Europe. In this position, he is responsible for cooperation with a total of 13 participating countries as well as branches in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria. Thanks to his significant involvement in acquisitions of companies such as LOB, Donimet and Malkowski-Martech, ASSA ABLOY was able to develop into a significant player in the Eastern European market during this time.
In addition to his new responsibility as Senior Vice President for the entire Central Europe business, which includes Eastern Europe as well as the Benelux countries and the DACH region, Achim Haberstock will also take over as Chairman of the Management Board of ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH in Germany – with Andreas Wagener as the long-standing Managing Director for Sales and Marketing at his side. The main tasks of 60-year-old Haberstock will be to expand the close cooperation within the business unit and its further development. The main task will be to uncover new growth potentials and release synergies that will further drive ASSA ABLOY’s Central Europe business as a whole.
In his additional key function as a new member of the EMEIA Business Board of the Group, Achim Haberstock will also be responsible for the strategic and organisational further development of the Business Area Central Europe in the future.
