  • Category: Housing industry

  • 70 locking cylinders and around 100 keys

Challenge:

With a portfolio of almost 4,000 flats, the “Glück Auf” housing association is represented in almost all residential areas of the city of Gera. With the newest WeidenCarré project, the WBG is implementing a sustainable living concept by combining homes for young people, families and senior citizens at an exposed location in the south of Gera. Four buildings with 2- to 4-room apartments will be built on the 7,000 m2 property with residential buildings, park and parking spaces for cars. Two buildings that have already been completed also have barrier-free apartments in assisted senior living communities with a separate access and staircase, as well as a second lift.

A locking solution was required for the new WeidenCarré residential project that should be as simple, flexible and secure as possible for all tenants, external service providers and administration.

Solution:

The housing association “Glück Auf” was impressed by the advantages of eCLIQ, and the electronic locking system is therefore being used throughout all four new buildings in the WeidenCarré: In addition to the building entrances, the apartment doors, garden doors, doors to technical rooms and other building doors are also equipped with eCLIQ. eCLIQ can be used on almost all doors thanks to the modular set-up of the locking cylinders and more than 60 different cylinder types.

In addition to tenants, facility managers, energy suppliers and technicians from external companies are also provided with keys and granted the necessary authorisations. Day care staff for the assisted retirement homes also receive temporary access authorisations via their eCLIQ keys as required.

Another major advantage is the CLIQ® Web-Manager administration software, which is used to centrally manage the complete system. This means that locking authorisations can be assigned or lost keys can be blocked with just a few clicks. The Web Manager also provides the basis for extending the locking system to existing buildings if necessary.
